American Pie (1999) Review

American Pie is a 1999 American sex parody movie coordinated and co-created by Paul Weitz (in his first time at the helm) and composed by Adam Herz. It is the principal film in the American Pie dramatic arrangement and stars an outfit cast that incorporates Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, Alyson Hannigan, Natasha Lyonne, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Mena Suvari, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Seann William Scott and Eugene Levy. The plot focuses on five closest companions (Jim, Kevin, Oz, Finch, and Stifler) who go to East Great Falls High. Except for Stifler (who has just lost his virginity), the folks make a settlement to lose their virginity before their secondary school graduation.

The title is acquired from the melody of a similar name and alludes to a scene wherein the hero is found jerking off with a pie subsequent to being informed that third base feels like "warm crusty fruit-filled treat". Essayist Adam Herz has expressed that the title likewise alludes to the mission of losing one's virginity in secondary school, which is as "American as crusty fruit-filled treat."

The movie was a film industry hit and brought forth three direct spin-offs: American Pie 2 (2001), American Wedding (2003), and American Reunion (2012). Notwithstanding the essential American Pie adventure, there are five direct-to-DVD turn off movies bearing the title American Pie Presents: Band Camp (2005), The Naked Mile (2006), Beta House (2007), The Book of Love (2009) and Girls' Rules (2020).

Because of the achievement of American Reunion, a fifth dramatic film, under the working title American Pie 5 was declared on August 4, 2012. In August 2017, Seann William Scott said in a meeting that the fourth film likely had not made enough at the homegrown film industry to warrant another film.
